NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Vicethe technology company enabling financial advisors to create personalized portfolios for their clients in minutes, has improved its platform to give advisors greater efficiency and more options to tailor portfolios to their clients’ needs.
The product launch comes amid a plummeting stock market, with the S&P 500 seeing its biggest four-month decline since 1939 at the start of the year. This rattled investors and highlighted the need for high-quality advisory experiences.
Vise’s platform enhancements are designed to help financial advisors guide their clients through the volatile market. According to a recent investigation by Charles Schwab, 65% of respondents who had a financial plan in place said they felt financially stable, compared to just 40% of those who did not.
New features include:
Improved tax management, including tax transitions for new accounts and automatic tax loss collection, so advisors can maximize savings opportunities for every client on the Vise platform
Enhanced cash management capabilities so advisors can meet all client cash dispensing needs quickly and seamlessly
Improved ability for advisors to tailor the degree to which they want to skew portfolios towards factor exposure using the new active skew setting, allowing for further customization of portfolio risk/return profile
“Decades of research show that the silver lining in times of market volatility is the ability to take advantage of tax savings,” said SP Kothari, professor of accounting and finance at MIT Sloan School of Management and academic advisor to Aim. “Vise provides access to technology that automates tax-saving strategies and reduces manual tasks, helping financial advisors become much more scalable and competitive.”
This new feature is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to enable advisors who serve the mass affluent population, or those with $1 million or less in assets. The affluent mass segment owns more than a third of America’s liquid financial assets.
Vise’s platform helps advisers differentiate themselves from competing options and can save clients money through the ability to offer personalized portfolios rather than limiting investors to generic funds. Vise Portfolios offer the option of individual stocks as well as ETFs in a single managed account, based on each client’s personal preferences and values, as well as market data and advisor feedback.
“We launched Vise to give more people access to the highest quality financial advice and investment strategies, and the best way to do that is to equip financial advisors with the best technology and help them serve more investors,” said the co-founder of Vise. and CEO Samir Vasavada. “This enhanced version of our platform gives advisors new tools to help their clients through this downturn, and moving forward, we’ll continue to prioritize the additions and enhancements our advisors need most as we work.” together to propel a new era of wealth management.
