Valenzuela LGU: Firecracker ban in force

The city government of Valenzuela has said that the use of fireworks, firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices is still not allowed in the city.

Under Ordinance No. 833, 2020 series, the use, manufacture, distribution and sale of any type of firecracker are prohibited, including “luces” (sparks), butterflies, fountains, “Kwitis” and aerial fireworks.

According to the local government, those caught using fireworks will be fined P 5,000 or jailed for 30 days, while the business licenses of manufacturers who violated the ordinance will be suspended.

Residents who witness violations can report it to the city’s Disiplina Task Force.

They are also encouraged to use alternatives such as horns, drums, and musical instruments and devices.

Other safety recalls were posted on the city’s Facebook page: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=284946223667870&id=100064574838616
